Sony Ericsson has confirmed its users via twitter that they are working on Android 2.1 Éclair update for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and it will start rolling out before the end of September 2010. Previously news about the update circulated back in May, that XEPERIA 10 will get Android update in the fourth quarter of on-going year. Currently this device is running on Android 1.6 but after getting Android 2.1 update it will bring various enhancements to the device.
Sony Ericsson has not mentioned anything whether the AT&T XPERIA X10 will get the update or not. The Android 2.1 update is going to work as a bridge until Android 2.2 Froyo update is available. It is expected that Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini and X10 mini pro will also get the Android 2.1 update at the same time.
